Finally the Relay of Antica Corte Pallavicina opens in Polesine Parmense.

After nearly twenty years, the restorations are finally finished ! It was a hard work. It seemed even impossible, but we succeeded ! And how could we not do it? When our great-grandfather left the Piantador farm that belonged to Giuseppe Verdi, he arrived precisely at the Pallavicina Court with its eleven sons and from the statute of sharecropper, he became tenant. It was really a great conquest ! All together they started to work this vast field and fertile ground with enthusiasm and using all the know-how and experience they had acquired in Piantador. They raised pigs, chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks and silkworms. They milked cows, planted poplars, made faggots and cultivated water melons, corn, sorghum (type of cereal) and vegetables.
